Privacy policy

Effective 21 October 2026.

The short version

OpenFault is self-hosted. You run it on your own server, so the errors, users and projects in it are yours and live there. We don’t get a copy.

Skcript Technologies Private Limited (“Skcript”, “we”) runs two things: this website, openfault.dev, and the optional hosted push relay at push.openfault.dev. This page covers those and the OpenFault iOS app.

The iOS app

The push relay (optional)

Apple only delivers pushes signed with the key of whoever ships the app, so servers using the App Store app send pushes through our relay. Push is off until your server’s admin turns it on.

For each push, the relay receives the device push tokens, the notification title and body (the issue title and project name), and a deep link back to your server. It signs the notification with our Apple key, hands it to Apple’s push service, and returns Apple’s response to your server.

The relay has no database. It doesn’t log or store the tokens or the notification content; they’re held in memory only while the push is sent. It isn’t linked to any identity and isn’t used for tracking or advertising. The relay is open source: src/relay.rs.

Don’t want to send anything through us? Run your own relay and build the app with your own Apple account. See Push & iOS app.
